About

People come to me for talk therapy, medications, or a combination of both that best suits their unique needs. I am well versed in psychopharmacology, thoughtfully adding, subtracting, or changing medications when needed, and various forms of psychotherapy.

I try to balance diagnostic clarity with an understanding that labels like depression and anxiety cannot fully define a person. For this reason, our work can focus on both improving symptoms and addressing deeper concerns: self-esteem, relationships, career, identity, feeling stuck, and more. I believe deeply in each person’s ability to grow through their difficulties.

My approach is warm, eclectic, flexible, and focused on helping you flourish. As a therapist, I aim to be open-minded just as I hope that treatment itself can be mind-opening and supportive of the changes that matter most to you.

Education
& Training

I am affiliated with the Columbia University Department of Psychiatry where I supervise and teach medical students and residents. I work with psychiatric inpatients during the day and maintain a small outpatient practice in the evenings and on weekends, allowing me to give each of my patients focused, individualized attention. In my practice, I see patients in-person on the Upper West Side or over secure Telehealth video for residents of New York.

This involves discussion of your coverage and providing you with a “superbill” to be submitted to your insurance for out-of-network reimbursement if available.

A good faith estimate of annual expected charges is available at your request.
